Pin any working area
Works on farms, foresters, lumberjack flags, gatherers and any other building that shows a terrain or road-spill working range when selected.
Pin the working-area outline of any farm, forester or gatherer so it stays on screen while you plant, build and plan. One click to pin, one click to clear.
Click the Farmhouse or the Forester on the map.
Timberborn normally shows a building's working area only while you have that building selected. This mod lets you keep the ones you care about on screen.
Works on farms, foresters, lumberjack flags, gatherers and any other building that shows a terrain or road-spill working range when selected.
Paint crops, mark trees for planting or place new buildings with the outline still on screen, instead of re-selecting the building every few seconds.
Overlapping pinned areas merge into one combined outline, and areas that are far apart all stay visible. Uncheck a building's box to drop just that pin.
A Clear pinned areas button appears at the top right whenever something is pinned. You can also bind a key to it in the game's key-binding settings.
Outlines are drawn with the game's own outline renderer using the same navigation queries as selection, and they update as terrain, paths, visible level or construction mode change.
No game methods are patched and nothing in the simulation, your saves or the multiplayer traffic is touched. Pins are local to each player.
Three clicks, no setup screens.
Click a farm, forester or any other building with a working area. A WORKING AREA panel appears at the top of its info panel.
The whole row is the button. Its badge flips to ON and the panel's accent turns green, so the state is obvious at a glance.
Use your planting, building and other tools as normal. The outline stays until you uncheck the building or press Clear pinned areas.
The mod does one thing and stays out of the way. These are its edges.
Pins reset when you leave the map, load a save or a multiplayer resync happens, and they are never written to your save file. That is deliberate: it keeps the mod from ever affecting a colony.
If a future game update changes the internals the outline renderer relies on, pinning disables itself for that map and says so in the panel and the game log. Nothing else is affected.
Running a large colony? The outline recalculates at most five times per second, does no work while nothing is pinned, and releases its meshes when you clear.
| Game version | Timberborn 1.1.2.4 or a compatible 1.1 build. Built and checked against 1.1.2.4; later versions may change the internal renderer API. |

| Multiplayer | Designed for compatibility with the BeaverBuddies Stability Fork. It sends no multiplayer events and pins are always local, so the other player shouldn't need it. Installing it on both computers is still recommended for a first co-op session. |
| Other mods | No required mods. No Harmony patches and no BeaverBuddies dependency. |
| Saves | Untouched. You can remove the mod at any time. |
| Language | English UI text. |
